Mike Meru Mt Nebo, UT
North Peak, Mt Nebo, UT
Mike Meru climbs the steep skinny section before the West Rib of the North Peak of Mt. Nebo, UT. This was the first time summiting Mt. Nebo using this route. Just above us was 60 degrees of ice and rotten rock. That was pretty dicey but so much fun.
Mike Meru on Conundrum Peak
Mike Meru on the top of the Conundrum Couloir. We got this Couloir on August 5th on probably the last possible day to ski it. It was as skinny as it could be and still get your skis through it.
Conundrum Couloir, Aspen, Colorado
Mike Meru squeezes through the second steep skinny pinch on the Conundrum Couloir. What a great summer line! This is about as late in the year that it can be done from top to bottom without taking your boards off.

Grunge Couloir
Maxwell Morrill climbs the Grunge Couloir. It was right after this shot that a fist sized rock beaned me in the head. It made me a bit dizzy for the rest of the climb. Thank goodness I was wearing a helmet. Out of all the couloirs I have climbed and skied that is the only time I've been beaned really good by a rock. This image was published in Backcountry Magazine.

Cold Fusion Couloir
Mike Meru rides the Cold Fusion Couloir, Timapnogos, UT in great corn. This is an awesome 3000 vertical foot drop and truly one of the great Wasatch lines.
Baldy Chute, Alta, UT
The only time of year I ski Alta is when it's closed. I haven't done lift service in over 15 years and I intend to keep it that way. Mike Meru rides Baldy Chute in late Spring. The skinnier this line is the more fun it gets.
Gettin' July Turns
Mike Meru walks up a barely skiable Couloir in July in the Wasatch. He and I are on a roll and have skied at least one day every month for the last year.
Baldy in July
Mike Meru makes his way up Baldy Chute for some July turns.
Maxwell Morrill in the Sliver, Wasatch, Utah
Maxwell Morrill is ready to jump into The Sliver. We hit this in epic conditions. It was nothing short of hero snow for a steep skinny couloir in the Wasatch.
Maxwell Morrill rides great snow in this all time classic Wasatch couloir.
